Quick Setup Guide
1. Install RewriteBar
Download the latest version of RewriteBar and get started in minutes. Simply unzip the downloaded file and drag RewriteBar into your Applications folder to install.
2. Grant Accessibility Access
To read your selected text, RewriteBar needs accessibility permission. You'll see a prompt to grant this access when you first launch the app. If you missed it, you can enable it manually:
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility and add RewriteBar to the allowed apps.
3. Activate Your License
To start using RewriteBar, you'll need to activate it with a license key (sent via email). You can either:
- Purchase a full license
- Start with a free trial
4. Configure AI Settings
The final step is to set up your AI provider preferences:
- For subscription users: Everything is pre-configured - you're ready to go!
- For one-time license users: You'll need to add your own API key from your preferred AI provider
