Getting Started

Welcome to RewriteBar. This page gives you the fastest path from install to your first useful rewrite.

Installation

  1. Download RewriteBar from the download page
  2. Move the app to your Applications folder
  3. Launch RewriteBar from Spotlight or Applications

First Run Path

Follow these in order:

  1. Complete the guided first-launch onboarding (license, Accessibility, shortcut)
  2. If needed, finish missing steps in Setup
  3. Learn how to Trigger RewriteBar
  4. Run your first in-app rewrite with RewriteBar Use Cases

What You Need Before Rewriting Works Everywhere

  • RewriteBar is activated (license or trial)
  • Accessibility permission is granted in macOS settings
  • At least one AI provider is configured
